FuerteventuraFuerteventura is the 2nd largest island and is famous for its beaches.

TenerifeTenerife is the largest island in the archipelago (800 sq. miles). It is the most visited by tourists and has 2 airports (with direct flights to both): Tenerife Norte and Tenerife Sur.

Gran CanariaGran Canaria is the most populous island in the group (with the total population approaching 1M). It also has more robust economy then the other islands.

LanzaroteOne of the 2 islands that are close to the African cost (Fuerteventura being the other one), Lanzarote has a very arid climate. It is known for its volcanic landscape. They call it "la isla de cien volcanes".

La GomeraLa Gomera is second smallest island and isn't visited by the tourists as much as the others. Agriculture (growing bananas) and not tourism is the foundation of the island ecomony.

La PalmaBanana exports are also the main source of income in La Palma.

El HierroEl Hierro is the smallest and the least developed island of all. Fishing and and agriculture are the main sources of income on the island.
